Healthy Isn’t a Goal, It’s a Way of Living

How many times have you set a goal or new years resolution to lose weight and/or get healthy?

It starts off well and then you hit a speed-bump. You get back on the bike so-to-speak and another speed-bump comes along and next thing you know, you’ve fallen off the bike and crashed, only this time, you don’t get up again.

Has this ever happened to you and you ended up right back where you started?

The truth is, getting healthy or wanting to lose weight is more than just a short term or one-off goal, it’s a life choice, a life-long choice.

So, where do you start?

First up – Think about the reason you want to get healthy. Normally it is something we want to move away from such as…

  • Weight issues
  • Lack of energy
  • Health problems
  • Personal image
  • Poor eating habits
  • Even being single

Make your reason so painful, it helps force you into ACTION.

Remind yourself the repercussions of not taking action and nothing changing, and then think about how that will make you feel. How will you feel if nothing changes or improves?

Second – Set a feasible end-result, one you can reach and then when you achieve it, set anew target and keep pushing the limits until you get to where you want to be. Setting a monstrous goal up-front is a sure-fire way to fail.

Third – Set out a plan of action that suits your end-result…

Ask yourself, what’s going to help me achieve my goal?

  • How am I going to lose weight?
  • How can I eat healthier?
  • How will I increase my energy levels?
  • What exercise can I do?
  • And so on…

As you probably already know, healthy living comes down to three things…

  1. Eating healthy foods
  2. Exercise
  3. Looking after your body

Once you work out a FEASIBLE plan, get started and keep in mind, and this is the hardest part, you must be consistent.

This is a life-long way of living, not a two month lose some weight fast diet to look nice for a wedding and then revert back to your old self, make this a decision for life and stick with it.

You will be amazed how much better you will feel and even be surprised at other life areas that improve as well.

Increased energy, healthier complexion, weight loss, increased positivity, improved health and many more side benefits.
